Keyword Density

The number of times a keyword appears on a web page as a percentage of the total words on the page. Let’s imagine you’re looking for “handmade quilt” as a keyword. The formula would be: total number of words / number of “handmade quilts” × 100. If “handmade quilt” appears 10 times on your page and you have 300 words total, your keyword density for “handmade quilt” is 3%. The higher your keyword density, the higher your page’s relevance will be ranked by search engines. Just stay away from “keyword stuffing.”
