Pages that aggregate all of a website’s links, photos, or headlines into a single page are sometimes referred to as an index page, as if they were a book. Both are accurate, which only adds to the complication. When a web developer refers to index pages, they are most likely referring to the homepage. If you’re not sure, ask for clarification.
