Heatmap (or Heat Map)

Color is used to express areas of greater use or likelihood in a visual representation of data. A click map is a form of heat map that displays which portions of a website receive the most clicks. Areas where people gaze or click the most are labelled with red on a scale of red (“hot”) to blue (“cool”). To position call-to-action buttons where they are most likely to be seen and clicked, web designers can combine data from an eye-tracking heat map and a click map.
