Dropshipping

An e-commerce arrangement in which the vendor does not own any inventory and is not responsible for shipping. When a consumer places an order, the seller processes it and sends it to a third-party supplier, such as a wholesaler or manufacturer, who prepares and dispatches it. Dropshipping is a popular alternative for entrepreneurs who wish to launch an online store quickly and with low overhead. The seller only pays the supplier for an item when someone buys it.
