Alt Text

When you hover your mouse over an image, text appears in lieu of the image. Alternative text, often known as alt text, is inserted into the HTML code of a web page to describe an image if it isn’t visible. This can occur for a variety of reasons. Images may be disabled for some users to make web pages load faster. Others may be blind or have impaired vision, so they utilise screen readers to convert web page text into audio or a Braille-like touch format. Alt text also aids in the “understanding” of photos by search engines.
